I want to use a file for reading users for in the login. This is because I am expecting maybe 30 users and I think I can setup passwords for all of them manually. I also want to use sqlite for the database and I think this will start me down the path of file syncing on the server my machine.

I am lazy, thus I use lazyvim instead of configuring neovim myself. I started out trying to configure vim and ultimately neovim. In that time I developed opinions and habits on how my editor should work. One of those habits is how the copy and paste work.

I use osisi to configure my machines. This started of as just using a dot file manager then used home-manager then I wrote it in Haskell, then rewrote it in Rust then rewrote it in Haskell again and that is the current version.

Prelude

I’ve noticed this pattern a lot. It appears in multiple places. I think it common enough now that I can even write about it. I am talking about the monadic pattern not the genesis of powershell. I just want to present the pattern and talk about why I find it useful.

I don’t really want to go into Haskell, so I will stick to Scala and Java with the exception of Promises.

pushdown is a script I wrote during lockdown to keep track of pushups that I was doing. When learning a new language I like to convert existing things because it is easier, I have already thought about the problem I just need to write the solution figuring out the syntax of the new language
